Hannah St. Onge
Architectural Conservator
Hannah grew up with a passion for sharing history, volunteering in museums from the time she was twelve years old. This led her to the University of Mary Washington, where she majored in Historic Preservation and minored in Museum Studies. During her time at UMW, she discovered how “reading" the built environment can be used to share the stories of those who designed, constructed, and used those buildings, sparking a love for building conservation. She received her Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Clemson University, where her thesis examined the scope of the adoption of 3D digital architecture products used to document and steward the historic built environment in museums. She then worked as a project engineer and estimating engineer in the field of construction, which allowed her to learn the fundamentals of project management. Combining this experience with her background in architectural conservation, Hannah looks forward to continuing to share the stories of historic buildings and those who built and inhabited them. In her free time, Hannah enjoys exploring the DMV (particularly in search of pretty gardens), collecting vinyl records, and attempting to relearn the guitar.
