PROJECT ARCHITECT

To join us as a PROJECT ARCHITECT in our studio, you should have:

  • Registered architect with an architecture degree
  • 5 to 15 years of experience
  • Proficiency and project experience in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience on Federal Government projects
  • Eligible for Government security clearance
  • Experience with preliminary planning, programming, feasibility studies, concepts, schematic design, design development, construction documents including specifications and construction administration
  • Strong communications and organizational skills

PROJECT MANAGER

To join us as a PROJECT MANAGER in our studio, you should have:

  • Architecture degree with 8 to 15 years of experience
  • Project manager with experience working with Federal Government clients

  • Client and teaming relationship skills

Preservation Architect

MTFA Architecture is seeking an architect with experience in historic preservation, who is committed to transforming visions, enhancing potential, and exceeding expectations in the built environment. In 2014, MTFA acquired John Milner Associates Preservation to form the nucleus of our growing historic preservation firm. We are dedicated to preserving and adapting historic buildings and sites nationwide. Preservation is what we do and what we have been doing for over 40 years.

To join us as a PRESERVATION ARCHITECT in our studio, you should have:

  • Knowledge of the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Architecture with a specialization in Historic Preservation
  • 5+ years of historic preservation experience
  • Current architectural registration
  • Interest in the technical aspects of historic properties and buildings, including historic materials
  • Ability to collaborate with consultants and owner's representatives on complex multi-phased projects
  • Strong communications and organizational skills
  • Collaborative personality to bring out the best in team situations
  • Experience with government projects is a plus

Architectural Conservator

MTFA Architecture is seeking an architectural conservator who is committed to transforming visions, enhancing potential, and exceeding expectations in the built environment. In 2014, MTFA acquired John Milner Associates Preservation to form the nucleus of our growing historic preservation firm. We are dedicated to preserving and adapting historic buildings and sites nationwide. Preservation is what we do and what we have been doing for over 40 years.

To join us as an ARCHITECTURAL CONSERVATOR in our studio, you should have:

  • Masters of Science in Historic Preservation with a conservation concentration or a Masters of Architecture with a certificate in conservation
  • Experience with field investigation, materials testing, materials treatment, report writing, construction documents, and construction administration
  • 5+ years of historic preservation experience
  • Demonstrable skills in historic research and AutoCAD
  • Full-time professional experience, particularly construction administration and specification writing skills, will be considered an advantage over other candidates
  • Preference will be given to those individuals with strong communication skills

PROPOSAL MANAGER / GRAPHIC DESIGNER

MTFA Architecture is seeking a talented Proposal Manager / Graphic Designer to join our team. The successful applicant must have excellent design and communication skills, as well as the ability to deliver visually strong, detail-oriented materials that address the needs of our clients while reflecting MTFA’s brand. Such materials include:

  • Professional writing and attention to detail for proposals, bid documents, and reports
  • Polished designs for award submissions and presentation materials
  • Creative writing and visual storytelling for social media posts and website updates

As the PROPOSAL MANAGER / GRAPHIC DESIGNER in our studio, you will be responsible for:

PROPOSAL MANAGEMENT

      • Collaborating directly with principals, marketing team, and architects
      • Maintaining an organized and up-to-date database, including project and staff data
      • Researching and identifying new leads and contracts based on market analysis and opportunity
      • Managing all stages of each proposal, from pre-submittal meetings to proposal close-out

MARKETING & DESIGN

      • Coordinating key marketing initiatives to ensure cohesive messaging and to maintain the brand
      • Developing graphically creative and engaging layouts for print and digital materials
      • Maintaining and updating the firm’s website, including news and publications updates
      • Planning and scheduling social media posts across the firm’s channels
      • Graphically organizing, modifying, and updating renderings, diagrams, and design content
      • Maintaining an organized and up-to-date library of all materials

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Management: Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Communication: Superior writing and editing capabilities
  • Creativity: Passion for design, a sharp eye for detail, and an ability to provide creative insight; demonstrated graphic design skills and expertise with a strong portfolio (experience working for a similar architectural or design practice highly desirable)
  • Tech-Savvy: Thorough knowledge of up-to-date, industry-leading software and technologies, including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and MS Office (knowledge of 3D visualization, motion-graphic software, and app-based software is a plus)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently to meet tight deadlines with a positive attitude
  • Degree in marketing, communications, business, graphic design, or related fields
  • 2-10 years relevant experience, preferably with proficiency producing proposals (RFPs/RFQs/RFIs) in the architecture/engineering industry
