Multiple renovation and adaptive reuse projects were addressed within Potomac Annex Historic District. Potomac Annex was originally constructed as the nation's first observatory in the nation. Now the buildings have been adapted to office space for the Navy. The 10-acre site is adjacent to the Monumental Core and overlooks the Potomac River.

The Surgeon General's Suite was renovated and involved the complete interior renovation of office and conference space in "Building 1." Other projects on the site included exit analysis, interior renovation of several buildings, facade renovation and additions, window replacement, HVAC replacement and a plaza deck. All projects on the site were developed under the historic guidelines and report.
