Westpark Plaza is a planned transit-oriented mixed-use community along Route 7 in Tyson's Corner, Virginia. The project is located at the new Greensboro Metro Station on the newly developed Silver Line. Two dynamic 31-story buildings will house approximately 1,200 residential units providing both market rate and workforce apartments. Residential amenity spaces and street level service/commercial space is located along Route 7 to activate the streetscape. The corner of Route 7 and Westpark Drive is anchored by a new hotel with up to 300 rooms. A 5-story loading and parking structure is built into the slope of the site. The buildings are positioned to engage the street edge with illustrative sidewalks and elements. The inner edge of the buildings create a neighborhood park that provides a large variety of both residential and public amenities. The park is connected to a civic park in the adjacent properties that will be redeveloped with both commercial and multi-use structures. The buildings of Westpark Plaza will achieve a LEED Silver certification. The project will be a major component in redeveloping Tyson's Corner into an active urban environment planned around public transportation.
